Ramkrishna Talukdar

Bio

Ramkrishna Talukdar (born 1963, Barpeta) is a Sattriya dancer, choreographer and teacher, and a recipient of the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award. Trained in the guru-shishya tradition under gurus including Rasheswar Saikia Barbayan, Jatin Goswami and Ghanakanta Bora Barbayan, he has performed Sattriya on stages around the world for over four decades. He teaches through his institute, Nartan Kala Niketan, and authored Nritya Kala Darpan, the Sattriya textbook of the Board of Secondary Education, Assam.
